Trade in Ivory.

Asia’s trade in illegal wildlife products is growing and stories like this seem to be becoming more and more numerous. But what are the best ways to stop it? Where should conservationists apply pressure? The on the export itself in the country of origin or where the products are sold? Should we try to protect the animals more rigorously or try to change the ideals of those who desire a product often as a status symbol  or bogus medical treatments? Food for thought.

Here is some story on the increase in elephant poaching. A good reminder that conservation is a practice of eternal vigilance.
